I'm not sure how it happened but sometime between November 22 and December 24 I totally lost control of just about everything that was going on. Thinking back (yes, I know it's not that far back) I imagine my mistake was in "starting early". Who did I think I was anyway? There I was making Christmas cards, planning and plotting the gifts, the dinner, just about everything an entire 2 months before the big day. Then I woke up and it was the weekend before Christmas and I realized I hadn't finished my shopping; I hadn't even mailed one card that I worked so hard to make. Yikes, you think that would have gotten me motivated. Nope. I actually finished my shopping on Christmas Eve ~ then rushed home to wrap everything. Yes, everything. I had nothing wrapped. Not even one gift. This is how I conclude I totally lost it.
And guess what. The world did not end. Nobody even noticed. How's that for an epiphany.
Thank goodness Sweetie put up the tree (I will take credit for decorating it though). If it was left to me it would probably still be in the box in the garage. I did manage to take a few pictures of some favorite ornaments.
I continue to wrestle with the concept of other people’s privacy and blogging, so I will post Christmas pictures of decorations only. I would like to note that I do take pictures of my family and friends, I just don’t blog them.... yet.
